Our Mission Improving Lives Through Landscaping

Our mission here at Allentuck Landscaping Company is “Improving Lives Through Landscaping.” To us, that’s a lot more than just words on a screen or page—it’s a central value that each and every one of our team members is committed to every day.

With our company based in Rockville, MD and both landscapers and customers located in Montgomery County, Frederick County, and the Washington, DC metro area, we’re part of many nearby communities. We’re always looking for ways to give back, and these projects are some of our favorite ways to put our landscaping talents to use.

Arlington National Cemetery Renewal & Remembrance

Renewal & Remembrance event has been a staple of the DC community and the local landscaping industry for 27 years—and our team has participated in this incredible event for the last 20 years and counting.

Founder Bruce Allentuck has served as chair for this event multiple times in that period, and each year Allentuck Landscaping has sent as many as a dozen participants to lend their expertise to this event. In 2023, more than 500 participants from across the country worked on various projects to enhance the grounds throughout Arlington National Cemetery, and our team will continue to participate each year.

Company Community Gardens

What better way to put our skills to use outside of work than through gardening throughout our communities? The Allentuck Landscaping team maintains multiple fully organic community gardens, including gardens at local elementary schools aimed at helping schoolchildren learn more about the joy of growing plants.

We also maintain a large community garden right here at our Rockville, MD office for our staff to try vegetables they may not ordinarily encounter. Within our compact garden space comprising less than a dozen total beds, our team produces a high volume of produce, including more than 30 types of vegetables.

Gardens for Grade School Grants

The Allentuck team provides support for multiple local grade schools to use on various landscaping and other outdoor educational projects. Each year, we support three grade schools, providing $1,000 to spend however they like. Some have used these funds to spruce up their front entrance, while for others we’ve installed a butterfly garden for students and staff to enjoy.

Hospice Caring Cottage

Hospice Caring Cottage is a not for profit organization that focuses on caring for those in the final chapters of their lives. During the day, patients visit this center to receive hospice care. Our team has maintained the property of this nonprofit for the last 10 years, and we’re proud to support the crucial, compassionate work they do.

Sponsoring Local Youth Sports Teams

We’re a locally owned business, and each member of our team has their own families to take care of each day. We’re proud to have supported local youth sports teams over the years as a way of helping the communities we live in thrive.
