Welcome Back Breakfast

Although our staff had been back and actively working for a few weeks, we officially welcomed everyone back with a breakfast of egg, sausage and cheese burritos expertly prepared by Bruce and Tim. One thing about working with such fine people is that it is always fun to kick back and just hang out sometimes. It is going to be a great year!

Lessons From Landscaping – Help. Ask For It

Our leadership team has spent the last month reading and discussing Creating Magic: 10 Common Sense Leadership Strategies From A Life At Disney by Lee Cockerell. In his book, Mr. Cockerell chronicles lessons he learned regarding customer service, employee engagement and striving for excellence during his tenures at Disney and Marriott, two companies that excel at those three functions. It has been an excellent read.

I have often wondered if the books we read actually sink into my team’s brains. My concerns were dispelled this week.

With just a few days left for voting, there has been a ton of activity. We are very much looking forward to awarding our first ever Gardens for Grade School Grant this Thursday, March 31, 2016.
