Our Crew Leaders Rock

They say a landscape company is only as successful as its Crew Leaders. They are the face of the company to our customers, the ones who direct our jobs, and the people who train our new team members. At Allentuck Landscaping Co., we are extremely fortunate to have an incredibly talented group of Crew Leaders. They also happen to be really, really nice people. We call them our Crew Leader Corp.

Horacio Cruz – Maintenance Crew Leader – 14 Years

Horacio has a keen ability to train new team members, something we value greatly. He has a 6 month old daughter and a 4 year old son. Horacio enjoys action movies, shopping and is a big fan of Chipotle (who isn’t!).

Felipe Amaya – Landscape Crew Leader – 9 Years

Felipe is one of those people who is always smiling and has a positive outlook. He has a 4 year old daughter whom he enjoys taking to the park and Chuck E Cheese. She also enjoys working in his garden with him (we could have the next generation of the Allentuck Landscaping Co. team on our hands!).

Reynaldo Cruz – Maintenance Crew Leader – 13 Years

Rey is simply “Mr. Get It Done”. Give Rey a job and count on it being completed quickly and correctly. He has two children, a son age 3 and a daughter age 5. In his spare time he likes to take them to the beach, on picnics, and to the movies. Little known fact, Rey is a big fan of Kung Fu Panda!

Jose Castillo – Landscape Crew Leader – 7 Years

Jose is the quietest of our leaders but never underestimate his abilities to get a job done, and done perfectly. He has a great eye for details. When not at Allentuck Landscaping Co. Jose enjoys basketball, visiting family and friends, fishing, and biking.

David Chavez – Landscape Crew Leader – 14 Years

We have come to the conclusion that there is nothing that David cannot build. Every time we throw a new challenge at him, he knocks it out of the park. When not landscaping, he like to take his 5 year old and 9 year old daughters to the movies and to parks.

Jose Alvarez – Maintenance Crew Leader – 19 Years

Jose is one of those people you look forward to seeing every day. He just always has a great attitude. At home he has a 14 year old son and a 10 year old daughter.

Samuel Molina – Maintenance Crew Leader – 23 Years

We have been fortunate to work with Samuel for almost as long as Allentuck Landscaping Co. has been around. He truly represents what we are about. Sam has four children; daughters ages 16, 17 and 24, and a son, age 25.

The Best Privacy Trees for Homeowners: Green Giant Arborvitae vs. Leyland Cypress vs. Cryptomeria

Backyard privacy shouldn’t be complicated. Homeowners just want a fast-growing, good-looking screen that blocks noise, hides neighboring windows, and makes a yard feel like a retreat. The best privacy trees can do all of that, and more. But not every evergreen behaves the same way. Some shoot up like rockets. Others handle cold better. Some stay dense year-round with almost no babysitting. Choosing the right one matters, or you’ll be staring at gaps, browning branches, or a tree that simply
